|Challenge:||Heating or cooling processes play a significant role in a wide range of applications, both in industry and in everyday life. Conventional devices comprising a small area source of heating / cooling can be faced with constructional solutions or the problems of temperature fluctuation, therefore a new construction is proposed. This solution opens up new possibilities for applications where fast, accurate temperature control is needed with small heated source. An example is the controlled modification of the texture of polymer systems, cooling of electronic components.|
The technical solution includes thermally conductive plates which are fixed in the thermal insulating frame and separated by a blocking layer. A small size heating and / or cooling element is connected to the underside of the conductive plate. The heat conducting plate may be equipped with a temperature sensor and the support plate includes a holder for mounting the heating / cooling elements and a temperature sensor, as well as the positioning holes in the insulating frame, making the device very flexible.
This design solution can be advantageously applied in processes where defined temperatures change from a small source to many times larger surface is required.
